有时候我也会被during和while给混淆了，好像都是“在......期间”，却不知道怎么使用。
那就来扒拉同一条船上的几个相关词汇吧：Before, during, after, while。
拿看电影举例子，在看电影的这条时间轴上，就能体现三个词。
Everybody go to buy the ticket before the film.
电影开始前，大家都去买票。
I ate popcorn during the film.
我在看电影的时候吃爆米花。
We go back back after the film.
电影结束后，我们就回家了。
再拿工作举例子，在工作的时候轴上有三个词汇：
Don't forget to eat your breakfast bfore working.
上班前别忘了吃早餐。
We can't watch TV while we're working.
上班期间，不能看电视。
We went back home after working.
工作后，我们就回家了。
从上面两组时间轴可以发现
可以用before 表示“在......之前”，有两种表达方式，分别是
before+名词
before+动词ing
I always have breakfast before going to work.
=I always have breakfast before I go to work.
我总是在上班前就吃了早餐。
可以用after 表示“在......之后”，同样有两种表达方式，分别
after+名词
after+动词ing
After doing the homework, they went home.
=After they did the homework, they went home.
他们做完作业就回家了。
我们用"during+名词"，或者“while+动词ing”表示“在...期间”。
We didn't speak during the meal.
=We didn't speak while we were eating.
吃饭的时候不说话。
